Account Control Panel User Guide

All Posts

The All Posts screen lists every post on your blog so you can edit, search, filter, and delete them in one place. Posts are listed newest-first.

Open All Posts

  1. In your admin panel, open Blog > All Posts.

The list of posts

Each post appears as a row with these columns:

  • Checkbox — select the post so a bulk action can be applied to it.
  • Title — the post title, shown as a link. Click it to edit the post. A label such as Draft, Private, Pending, Sticky, or Password Protected appears next to the title when it applies.
  • Author — who wrote the post. Click the author to list only that author's posts.
  • Categories — the categories the post belongs to. Click one to list only posts in that category.
  • Tags — the tags on the post. Click one to list only posts with that tag.
  • Comments — a bubble showing the comment count. Click a bubble to jump to that post's comments for moderation.
  • Date — when the post was published or last modified. Scheduled posts show their future publish date.

Find a post

Use any of these to narrow the list:

  • Search — type words into the search box (top right) and click Search Posts.
  • Status links — at the top, click All, Published, Scheduled, Pending, Draft, or Private to show only posts of that status.
  • Date and category filters — choose a month or a category from the dropdowns, then click Filter.
  • Sort — click a sortable column heading (such as Title or Date) to sort ascending or descending.

Edit a single post

Hover over a post row to reveal its actions:

  • Edit — opens the full post editor. (Clicking the title does the same thing.) This is the same editor as Add New Post, except the save button is labeled Update instead of Publish.
  • Quick Edit — edit common fields inline without leaving the list: title, slug, date, author, categories, tags, status, password or private setting, comment and ping settings, and whether the post is sticky. Click Update to save or Cancel to discard.
  • Trash — deletes the post. (Locked posts cannot be deleted.)
  • View — opens the post as it appears on your live site.

Edit many posts at once

To change several posts together:

  1. Select posts by checking their checkboxes. Check the header checkbox to select every post on the page.
  2. Choose Edit or Trash from the Bulk Actions dropdown.
  3. Click Apply.

When you bulk-edit, you can change author, comment and ping settings, status, and sticky for all selected posts at once. You can add categories and tags in bulk, but you cannot change or remove existing ones this way. Click Update to save or Cancel to discard.
