What Is an Email Alias?

An email alias lets you have a domain-branded address (such as yourname@yourdomain.com) that forwards to an email account you already use (such as yourname@gmail.com). When someone emails the alias, our system forwards the message to your existing inbox, where you read and manage it as usual.

By default, your replies are sent from your existing address, though you may be able to configure your email program so they appear to come from your domain-branded address as well.
